National Society of Black Engineers Logo
Founded in 1975, the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) stands as a beacon of opportunity and excellence for Black engineers and aspiring engineers around the world. With over 30,000 members across academia, industry, and the pre-collegiate level, NSBE is the largest student-run organization in the United States, dedicated to increasing the number of culturally responsible Black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact the community.
From fostering academic success through scholarships and mentorship programs to promoting public awareness of engineering careers for Black youth, NSBE's impact is as wide-reaching as it is vital. Through conferences, workshops, and community outreach initiatives, NSBE empowers the next generation of Black engineers to break down barriers, shatter stereotypes, and become leaders in shaping a more diverse and inclusive future for the engineering field.
