IHOP, which originally stood for International House of Pancakes, is an American multinational pancake house restaurant chain that specializes in breakfast foods. Founded in 1958 by Albert K. Beardslee, Mucio J. Franco, and Almon E. Becker, the company is now owned by Dine Brands Global, which also owns Applebee's and several other restaurant brands.
