Akira Logo
Akira is a Japanese media franchise centered on a dystopian cyberpunk metropolis called Neo-Tokyo. The franchise began with a 1982 manga series written and illustrated by Katsuhiro Otomo. The manga was adapted into a critically acclaimed 1988 anime film of the same name, also directed by Otomo. The franchise has since expanded to include video games, soundtracks, and light novels.
