James is also the NBA's all-time leading scorer and ranks fourth in career assists. James was born in Akron, Ohio, in 1984. He was a highly touted prospect from a young age and was drafted first overall in the 2003 NBA draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers. James quickly established himself as one of the best players in the league and led the Cavaliers to the NBA Finals in 2007.
